There are SQL Server Security documents that may tell you to change the default port to better protect your server. I don't really go by that anymore. The amount of free port scanners available today, like nmap, there is no real point in changing it. If I can get into your network I can find your SQL Servers. As Fatherjack pointed out as well, the big con to changing the default port is the hassle it causes for your developers. Any connection string will have to include that port number.
